Position Summary

Reporting to the President, the Marketing Director is responsible for managing marketing, advertising, promotions, staff, and all related activities. The Marketing Director will manage the effective use of an annual marketing budget in excess of $1.5M to achieve the goals and objectives of the marketing function and company.

Selected Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and lead an integrated brand and messaging strategy to strengthen awareness and engagement with the target audience
  • Develop and execute marketing strategy and tactical plans across traditional and digital channels
  • Execute digital lead generation and nurturing tactics including paid search, display and web content
  • Monitor and drive KPIs including brand awareness, lead acquisition, conversion and engagement
  • Continuously refine the attributes of the core demographic audience for our product offering
  • Develop and refine the core purpose, company story, and identity
  • Expand product solutions and offerings that differentiate our product in the marketplace
  • Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
  • Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials
  • Design print ads and publications
  • Coordinate and ensure quality of internal marketing staff and external marketing resources (e.g. graphics designer, content writing, Digital Marketing provider, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain the messaging on our website with continuous content creation including blogging, before and after pictures, videos and conversion strategies
  • Manage trade show and Open House strategies and staffing
  • Working with Digital Marketing provider, create and direct email marketing campaigns, engage consumers on social media and ensure our online reputation is highly regarded with high visibility
  • Deepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organization
  • Lead all areas of content generation and production across all media platforms
  • Take calculated risks based on data-driven analytics
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored messaging for the in-home sales process including our core purpose and 3 uniques
  • Develop and lead a marketing team that will develop and execute new concepts, business models, channels and partners to position business as innovator and leader
  • Oversee the Call Center and appointment scheduling

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • BS/BA Marketing, Business, or other directly related degree
  • 3+ years successful experience in developing and implementing multi-faceted marketing plans in Business to Consumer industry, especially as relates to lead generation for an in-home sales model
  • Experience in using lead generation software and working with a call center
  • Demonstrated success in writing compelling ads and offers for direct response marketing
  • Proven track record in helping a company achieve ambitious growth expectations
  • Successful experience in managing and directing staff or third party resources
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial company is preferred
  • 3+ years successful experience overseeing SEO, paid search, email, and social media campaigns (Google Certification is preferred)
  • Successful experience in using analytics (especially Google Analytics) to assess, refine and/or change marketing strategies and messaging
  • Demonstrated professional growth and advancement
